In a world where monster invasions are common, being an adventurer in a party is one of the most desirable jobs due to the honor and fame it provides. A young human warrior named Alvin wants to make a name for himself and plans to begin his career by completing a low-level request for the guild. While on his way, Alvin is confronted by a magical bear and finds himself in a pickle. As luck would have it, a dark elf healer named Karla approaches and asks if Alvin needs help, oblivious to the situation unfolding before her eyes. Alvin persuades Karla to assist him after a convoluted discussion made unnecessary by her bizarre personality. Unfortunately, instead of healing him, she casts a curse on him.
